PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING AND CATEGORIES OF DATA PROCESSED
For what purpose and for how long will we process your personal data?
Alos Centro Europeo de Idiomas will process users’ data, manually and/or automatically, for the following specific purposes:
Managing any services you contract, as well as invoicing, payment collection and delivery of the corresponding service.
Sending occasional electronic communications (by e-mail) with news about our courses, translations, interpreting or European projects, unless stated otherwise or unless the user objects or withdraws consent.
Alos will not pass on client or student data to third parties.
Complying with legally established obligations.
Which categories of data do we process?
Alos processes the following categories of data:
Identification data: first name, surname, postal address, e-mail address, postcode, telephone.
Bank details
The personal data requested is mandatory, so refusing to supply it will make it impossible to provide the services contracted. Should the user provide third-party data, they must prove those third parties’ express consent, in writing or by electronic communication, and undertake to pass on to them the information contained in this clause, releasing Alos from any liability in this regard. Nevertheless, Alos may carry out checks to confirm this, applying the appropriate due diligence measures in accordance with data protection legislation.
The data on the student enrolment forms or the translation client records held by Alos is needed to fulfil the established contractual or legal purpose. Consequently, if the user does not provide it, we will not be able to meet their request for service.
How long do we keep your data?
Alos will keep users’ personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and, once the service has ended, will block it for the period established by law in order to deal with any administrative and/or judicial claims.
What security measures do we have in place to look after your data?
To protect the different types of data set out in this privacy policy, Alos will apply the technical security measures needed to prevent its loss, manipulation, disclosure or alteration.
III. LEGAL BASIS
What is the legal basis for processing your data?
The legal basis on which Alos processes users’ data in order to register and set up a user account is the data subject’s consent, requested in each specific case. Managing the contracting of services, payment, invoicing and the corresponding deliveries is in turn justified by the performance of the contract itself. Processing data in order to send electronic newsletters with offers, promotions and news about our company, together with commercial and/or promotional information, is based on Alos’s legitimate interest in carrying out such processing in accordance with current legislation. The consents obtained, all of them expressly for the purposes mentioned, are independent of one another, so the user may withdraw one or more of them without affecting the rest.
USERS’ RIGHTS
What rights does the data subject have?
You may write to us at ALOS CENTRO EUROPEO DE IDIOMAS, S.L., calle Polo y Peyrolón, 23 bajo – 46021 Valencia, or e-mail alos@alosidiomas.net, enclosing a photocopy of a document proving your identity, in order to exercise the following rights at any time and free of charge:
Withdraw the consents given.
Obtain confirmation as to whether or not Alos is processing personal data concerning you.
Access your personal data.
Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
Request the erasure of your data when, among other reasons, it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.
Obtain from Alos the restriction of the processing of your data when any of the conditions set out in data protection legislation is met.
In certain circumstances and on grounds relating to their particular situation, data subjects may object to the processing of their data.
Alos will then stop processing the data, save for compelling legitimate grounds or for the establishment or defence of legal claims.
Obtain human intervention, express their point of view and contest automated decisions taken by Alos, where applicable.
Request the portability of your data.
Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.agpd.es) where the data subject considers that Alos has infringed the rights granted to them by the applicable data protection legislation.

The State Security Forces and Bodies, as established by law.
Banks and financial institutions, to collect payment for the services offered, if you have chosen direct debit as the payment method.
Companies with which hosting or mailing services have been contracted.
