Check my available creditFUNDAE explained in two minutes
Companies that pay vocational training contributions may be entitled to an annual training credit for their employees. The amount is calculated using the previous year’s contributions and other applicable rules. Eligible training is reported through FUNDAE, and the corresponding amount can be recovered through a reduction in the company’s Social Security contributions.
Your available credit depends on your previous year’s contributions and the number of employees:
| Number of employees | Percentage of contributions available |
|---|---|
| 1 to 5 | Guaranteed minimum of €420 |
| 6 to 9 | 100% |
| 10 to 49 | 75% |
| 50 to 249 | 60% |
| 250 or more | 50% |

Frequently asked questions
Can the training be fully funded?
Depending on the credit available and the funding requirements, eligible training may be partly or fully funded. If the cost exceeds the available credit, your company pays the difference. We’ll explain the expected costs and funding options before you commit.
How much paperwork will we need to do?
We’ll ask for the participant details and any necessary forms or authorisations. We’ll then guide you through the process and manage the FUNDAE administration.
Is there a minimum group size?
We can organise group lessons for as few as two participants. If only one employee needs training, we can arrange one-to-one classes.
Can lessons take place during working hours?
We’ll agree a timetable that suits your business, whether that’s early in the morning, at lunchtime or later in the day. Classes can be arranged during or outside working hours, subject to the relevant requirements.
What happens if someone misses a lesson?
FUNDAE-funded training is subject to attendance requirements. We monitor participation from the start and let you know if someone is at risk of not meeting them.
How soon can the training start?
This depends on your requirements, participant availability and the necessary administrative deadlines. Once we have the information we need, we can confirm a realistic start date.
Is FUNDAE training worthwhile for small businesses?
Yes. Small businesses can also benefit from FUNDAE-funded training. Companies with between one and five employees generally have a minimum annual training credit of €420. We can help you choose a course that makes good use of the funding available.
